Acupuncture for weight-loss?
There are many ways to lose weight, like most of you know. I have been on my losing weight journey for a year now. So I thought, for today, I would post an article taking a look at nontraditional methods such as acupuncture. In recent years it has become more popular. But there are things you need to know about the traditional Chinese procedure before you try it. Make sure you get all the facts before you use acupuncture to lose weight.
Many studies have looked into the relationship between acupuncture and slimming down dosage pounds since it has become a trend. Many studies have proven that it does work. Their findings support the use of the traditional practice, especially if you have already tried other methods to slim down. In one research review, scientists compared acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to several prescription obesity drugs widely used in the United States. They found that the alternative methods were just as effective at treating obesity but had fewer side effects than the medications.
Suppose you use acupuncture while you are trying to lose weight. In that case, you’re most likely to get the best results if you pair the treatment with healthy lifestyle changes such as a calorie-controlled, nutritious diet and a program of regular physical activity.
So what is the best way to begin your program? The first step may be to make sure you are healthy enough to start a diet and exercise regime. Acupuncturists look at every problem presented by the patient as an imbalance, not a sickness. The person can get back to balance, from dis-ease to total ease, to bliss. Ensure you do your research since acupuncture is often not covered by insurance and can be an expensive matter.

At your first acupuncture appointment, plan to arrive early. You might have to answer a few questions. During the procedure, the Acupuncturists will insert small thin needles at specific points throughout your body. Some patients describe a tingling sensation when the needles are in, and some report a feeling of heaviness. You will rest for a while (a few minutes to an hour) with the needles inserted, then the practitioner will remove them, and the session is complete. Most people do not feel discomfort or pain during the procedure.
You may want to avoid vigorous scheduling activities after you’re acupuncture until you know how you react to them. Some patients report feeling dizzy or lightheaded. If this is the case, your acupuncturist may ask you to take it easy after your session.
After corona dies down a little, I will start with my treatment and see how it goes.
